Shipping Policy

Order Processing & Shipping Timeline

Handling Time:

  • Orders received Monday–Friday before 2 PM MDT are usually shipped the same day.
  • Orders received after 2 PM or on weekends will be prepared the next business day.
  • Please allow 0–3 business days for your order to ship.
  • For urgent orders, see our How Fast Will My Order Ship? page.

Transit Time:

  • The shipping method you select at checkout refers to transit time—how long it takes after the order leaves our warehouse.
  • Example: An order placed on Friday afternoon with "Next Day" service will ship Monday and arrive Tuesday (if shipped Monday).

Cut-off Time:

  • Place your order before 2 PM MDT for same-day shipping.

Receiving Your Order

  • Inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
  • Report any errors or damages within 48 hours by emailing info@birthsuppliescanada.ca with photos.
  • Photos are required to process claims.

Shipping Rates & Minimum Order

  • Free shipping is discontinued (Summer 2024). Instead, we offer reduced shipping rates across Canada and local pickup in Calgary.
  • Minimum order subtotal: $15.
    • We sell many low-cost items but have fixed costs (staff, shipping supplies, merchant fees, Health Canada licensing, etc.).
    • Shipping fees are nearly identical to courier rates and not a profit source.

Expiry Dates

  • We consider 30+ days remaining to be fair expiry.
  • If you require longer expiry, request this in your order notes. We’ll advise if it’s not possible.
  • Expiry dates showing only month/year expire at the end of that month.

Partial Orders

  • We normally do not ship partial orders.
  • If requested, extra shipping fees apply.
  • Refunds for returned items will have our original shipping cost deducted.

Shipping Method & Courier Changes

  • While we try to honor your courier choice, we may change the method to avoid delays (e.g., strikes, missed pickups, service disruptions).
  • This may apply to international orders, urgent deliveries, large/oversized shipments, or multi-box orders.

Order Cancellations Due to Shipping Costs

  • Orders where shipping fees exceed the order value may be cancelled and refunded.
  • If an order is returned (e.g., incomplete address, unclaimed, refused), we refund the product value only, not shipping fees, plus any return charges billed by the courier.
